Fighting for life

I shall proceed a little further with my story, my accident was very serious so I had to be airlifted to St Georges trauma unit in Tooting. I was put into an induced coma, obviously I don’t remember a single thing but to this day if I see a helicopter my heart flutters and if I see an air ambulance I feel very saddened. I am not sure why that is. All credit here belongs to the team at St George’s who after Allah saved my life. I had a CT scan revealing a dangerous bleed on the right side of my brain. The team hence knew I was in great danger, so they removed the right side of my skull to allow room for my brain to swell and drain the blood from my brain My husband was informed I may not survive the next 72 hours He had to convey to my children that Mama might die. I can’t imagine what my kids went through my youngest, Zayd was only 3 at the time I had never been away from them I was dedicated to them my accident shows you should never expect to live to the evening life is fragile , you can go in a blink of an eye . As you can guess I am writing this blog so hence I I am alive Praise Belongs to Allah, my time to return to my Lord was not to be at that moment, we shall revisit this later because it took me almost three years to accept and understand it was not my time to return to my Lord that’s enough from me for today I don’t want to bore you in my next post I shall write a little about what is brain injury and the effects of having an injured brain my photo is not to scare you but I was in a terrible state.
